Venus Villa is devoted to exploring the intersections of audiovisual research, education, and writing, with a keen focus on shared intimacies. Her artistic journey unfolds within the realm of philosophy, where she intertwines art, life, and activism through the mediums of documentary filmmaking, literature, philosophical discourse, and music.

With a background in Film and Cinematography, Venus honed her skills in the vibrant film industries of Barcelona and Mexico from 2016 to 2020. Currently pursuing a Master's in Philosophy for Contemporary Challenges at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, she enriches her intellectual pursuits with a deep engagement in cultural activism.

For the past three years, Venus has immersed herself as an activist and cultural catalyst at Konvent.0, a dynamic creative hub. Her directorial work includes the documentary "Discurs en Suspensió" (2023), which explores the resilient human and cultural dynamics at Konvent.0 during the COVID-19 crisis, outside of lockdown periods.

Among her notable directorial projects are "López López" (2018), a portrayal of family life in an Andalusian cottage, "El Tiro" (2020), delving into the captivating world of performative art by Luiz Felipe Lucas, and "Les ovelles pasturen en temps de confinament" (2020), an intimate exploration of the creation process behind XISBAG—a giant puppet bag designed for Punch Agathe—in collaboration with the XISBAG collective.

Venus Villa's artistic vision marries visual allure with profound explorations of the fleeting and vulnerable aspects of human existence. Her work serves as a contemplative reflection on human connections, the beauty of everyday life, and the nuanced interplay of time and artistic process.

Beyond her directorial endeavors, Venus has co-created and curated residencies on Artificial Intelligence at Konvent.0 (2023), facilitated the Amplified Imagination workshops at CCCB, and spearheaded Konvent Ràdio (2021), amplifying voices and visions within the cultural landscape.
